Announcement: New WIP!
Hey Y'all!
I'm back today to introduce you to my WIP for December! I'm writing this novella while I take a break before editing "Vengeance is Mine." I'm shifting gears pretty drastically... it is still historical fiction, but this time it is set in 1946 and centered around the stage.

Hard Times
For those of you that don't know, my Dad was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in late June. It came as a shock, he has never smoked and has always seemed in good health. Over the last month things have changed a lot for my family and myself.

The Importance of Being Genuine
Be genuine. Sounds easy doesn't it? But it's not really; not in a culture that is always screaming at you to fit in, to go with the flow, to follow the trends. The world is full of people who are trying to be just like everyone else. When I was fourteen and fifteen this was something I struggled with. A lot. I didn't want to stand out from the crowd, and yet I knew I was unique. I love vintage clothing, red lipstick, leopard print, gold sparkles, writing (um, isn't that SCHOOL?) photography (In case you haven't noticed XD) and singing Les Mis at the top of my voice in the middle of our field at the dead of night.

Here's Why
I watched the rain trickle down the window in dancing streams. It was a typical November day and we were on our way to Georgia for Thanksgiving. I looked back down at the stack of lined paper in my lap and the few words written there, the ink still drying. I was eleven years old and for the first time I realized how much I loved stories. I knew then that I had a story to tell and that someday and somehow I would share it with other people.
