Announcement: New WIP!

Hey Y'all!
I'm back today to introduce you to my WIP for December! I'm writing this novella while I take a break before editing "Vengeance is Mine." I'm shifting gears pretty drastically... it is still historical fiction, but this time it is set in 1946 and centered around the stage.

Synopsis for Holly: (a super un-original working title)

Holly is a young girl who has a gift for singing. Her passion is theatre and she is a rising star, sure to become one of the worlds most popular actresses. When a series of events send her far away from home and to an invisible town it looks as if all her dreams are lost forever.

Franklin is a pianist, composer and playwright who nobody notices. He is not looking for popularity or fame, he just wants to play music because it is a part of him. Everything changes the day his scores are found by someone who inspires him to take his music seriously.

Life isn't a walk in the park for either of them, but they are determined that somehow they can make their dreams a reality. When everything they have been working for is lost will they be able to pick up the pieces and move on?

So Here's the Plan...

I hoping to get the first draft finished by the end of the month, but we'll have to see how that goes! I'm super excited about writing in this time period. It really fascinates me! I love the fashion, the music, the subtle dialect differences...all of it really. I'm also been involved in our local theatre as book research for the last year (including taking musical theatre classes! It's been fun.) so I'm super excited to start writing. I'm guessing it will be around 30-40k words when it's finished but again, we'll have to see what happens!

Also, I'm going to be posting about each of my characters at some point so look out for that! They are the reason I'm actually committing to writing this because I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. I can't wait for you to meet them!!!

What are you doing after NaNo? Have you started another project? Taking a break? I hope you had a great first day of December!!!
